My mode of transportation is dying

My truck has been giving me crap lately. Like the last 3 months. I own the thing so I don't have a car payment, but it's becoming one. I'm thinking about tossing it and buying a new one.

Dodge is doing their Employee pricing and cash back deals so I'm gonna probably buy from them. A new Dodge Ram will work. In order to get it into my garage I'm going to need to build ramps...it's hard to explain, but I wish someone would tell me why garages aren't built big enough for trucks...especially in Texas. My parents garage is the same way.

I have my options narrowed down to two. Should I go decked out w/ leather, heated seats, sunroof etc., or do the more reasonable thing and get one that will just get me from point A to point B?

if you get leather and heated seats... you are going to pay for it. in more than one way. YOU LIVE IN TEXAS. TEXAS!!!
leather seats in texas are more like a torture device than a luxary.

heh... but i'm just looking out for your bum. (i shake my own head)

I don't know which one, but call me and I'll finance it for ya (I should get a nicer cut off of the decked out one, so I'd definately go leather).

Clifton - but what about that one day in January when it gets below freezing...then we'll see who's laughing.

Mike - it sounds funny to hear you say finance.

Grant - Ford Fiesta??? I was thinking more of a Chrysler Neon.

Jeff, that one freezing day in January will suck just as bad. See, leather is scorching hot in summer and frikkin cold in winter.

Jeff, you're an accountant. What do you need a truck for. You should get an Audi S4.

you know.. with recent news in gas prices (it has reached $2.30 a gallon here), you might want to consider something with really good gas milage. i wish i was in the position to buy a new car. i would get one with good gas milage. heh.
